FirstEnergy/Mon Power and Harrison Rural Electrification Association each reported zero Lewis County customers without power in their Saturday, October 3 evening operator-map updates. Mon Power’s county report was updated at 8:15 p.m. Eastern; HREA’s was updated at 8:14 p.m. These are separate utility observations and describe conditions at those times.
Earlier report was from September 28
Agnes Quinn Queen’s notice about 173 homes without power was posted Monday, September 28, at 12:17 p.m. Eastern. It described a noon tally of 147 homes in Jane Lew and 26 in Weston, with zero in a separate Jane Lew HREA entry. The post gave an estimated restoration time of 1:30 p.m. that day.
That estimate had long since passed when the Portal initially published this story on October 3. The September 28 figures cannot describe the current outage situation. The October 3 zero-outage reports do not establish exactly when the earlier outage ended.
Correction and current information
The earlier Portal version mistakenly presented the September 28 notice as a new update. The article date now reflects September 28; this correction and the utility follow-up were added October 3.
Residents can consult the FirstEnergy/Mon Power outage map or HREA outage map for later operator updates. Counts and estimates may change after each map’s stated observation time.
