Community guidelines
Useful, local, and neighborly
Community spaces work best when people share information they can stand behind and leave room for neighbors to disagree without becoming targets.
Help the conversation
- Keep posts relevant to Lewis County or clearly explain the local connection.
- Describe what you know, distinguish facts from opinion, and link to useful sources.
- Disagree with ideas without harassing, threatening, or humiliating people.
- Protect personal information, especially information involving children or vulnerable people.
- Use listings honestly and disclose important terms, prices, or conflicts of interest.
Content that may be removed
Threats, targeted harassment, impersonation, scams, spam, illegal material, sexual exploitation, doxxing, and repeated disruption may be removed. Moderators may also limit accounts or activity when needed to protect residents and keep the service usable.
Report a problem
Use the report control beside a comment, chat message, or listing when available. For a broader concern, send the relevant link and context through the community contribution form. Reporting does not guarantee removal, but it places the material in the moderation workflow for review.
Emergencies
The portal is not monitored as an emergency dispatch service. Call 911 when someone is in immediate danger and use the appropriate public agency for urgent official assistance.
