Agnes Quinn Queen asked Lewis County residents on September 24 to document areas where flood debris remained in creeks and streams. Her announcement requested photographs, the name of the location and its full address.

Queen said reports without an address could not be used. She wanted to compile a complete list of problem areas to hand over if help became available.

In the post, Queen said her office had contacted several agencies in an effort to get trouble areas cleared. The announcement described efforts to secure help; it did not announce an approved cleanup schedule or guarantee assistance.

Correction: The request was posted September 24 at 12:03 p.m. Eastern. The earlier Portal version mistakenly presented the September 24 post as a new request. The article date now reflects the original announcement.
