Robert Weaver recognized artist Jesse Corlis’s contribution to Weston in a Nov. 3 Facebook post, sharing a tribute that credits Corlis with designing a cryptid-themed West Virginia license plate.
In the original announcement, posted Nov. 2, Brittany Barkasi said Corlis designed several West Virginia license plates, including the cryptid plate she said was released that day. She described the design as featuring orange “WV” lettering and “almost heaven” along the bottom.
Weaver described Corlis as an artist who “made a lasting impact on our Weston community.”
