Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum is highlighting a 30-minute Lobotomy flashlight tour on the same nights as HYSTERIA from Sept. 25 through Oct. 31 in Weston.
The tour focuses on the asylum’s lobotomy era. The operator says guides will explain why lobotomy was once promoted as a treatment, how it was used at the hospital and the consequences patients faced. TALA describes the experience as part history and part paranormal.
In its Sept. 21 season announcement, TALA says Flashlight Tours begin at 7 p.m. and the ticket booth opens at 6 p.m. The venue’s general schedule does not list a separate tour start time for every later HYSTERIA night. Check the official schedule for the specific date.
Tickets cost $15, including tax, and are sold onsite. The operator’s original tour announcement is available here.
