Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum has announced its Asylum After Dark season, running from Sept. 25 through Oct. 31 at 50 South River Street in Weston. Its schedule announcement lists dates for overnight ghost hunts, night paranormal tours, a fall festival and a costume ball.

Ghost hunts are scheduled Sept. 25 and 26 and Oct. 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 23, 24, 30 and 31, from 11:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning. Reservations are required. The asylum says participants can choose the Main Building or the Medical Center, Forensics and Geriatrics buildings. Two-hour night paranormal tours, also requiring reservations, are scheduled Oct. 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29, starting at 10:30 p.m.

The fall festival is set for Oct. 3 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with vendors, food, contests, games, tours and family activities. The Asylum Ball follows Oct. 17 from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. It will have live entertainment, vendors, food, a DJ, karaoke and a costume contest. Reservations are required; attendees must be at least 21 and show ID. According to TALA’s current event schedule, BYOB is limited to one cooler per person. Its Asylum Ball information page lists advance tickets at $30 plus taxes and fees, with tickets at the entrance that night listed at $40 plus tax and fees.

Hysteria Haunted House and 30-minute flashlight tours are offered on select nights through Oct. 31; the post does not identify every select night. The haunted house ticket booth opens at 6 p.m., and the attraction opens at dark. Flashlight tours, described as half historic and half paranormal, begin at 7 p.m.; tickets are sold onsite only. TALA’s Sept. 21 schedule named its 30-minute Lobotomy, Morgue and Seclusion tours at $15 each, including tax, as noted in the earlier announcement. TALA also advertises 30-minute Lobotomy, Morgue and Seclusion flashlight tours. Its earlier schedule listed those tours at $15 each, including tax. Regular daytime historic and paranormal tours continue Tuesday through Sunday, with walk-in tours available; the asylum says it is closed Mondays. It directs visitors to talawv.com for the full schedule and advance tickets.
