A status list from Agnes Quinn Queen, marked as of 8:50 p.m. Sept. 1, says 133 Lewis County businesses were affected by the July 21 flood.

The list counts 68 businesses as fully reopened. Another 65 were listed as closed or operating in altered form, including three reported as permanently closed.

Among the businesses listed as permanently closed are Performance Chevrolet, Sesame Inn and Smoker Friendly. Other entries describe continuing restrictions or recovery work: Walmart Supercenter had reopened selected areas but had no hot, cold or frozen food available; KFC was operating drive-thru only while dining-area work continued; and Long John Silver’s was listed as awaiting a total rebuild.

The list says Regional Eye Associates was working from its Bridgeport location, with a projected Weston opening in one to two months. Agnes Quinn Queen said the list would be updated as businesses reopened or changes were reported.
