A seller posting as Mrs Hermit has listed a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with 212,431 miles. The seller says the price is negotiable and trades will be considered, but gives no asking price.
The truck has an extended cab with a fold-down bench seat and three doors, an automatic transmission and a gasoline engine, according to the seller’s post. The seller says it was lifted by a previous owner and has oversized mud tires. It comes with a high-lift jack, spare tire, drop-down hitch, lockable gas cap and locking lug nuts. The post also lists a washable air filter, a fuel pump and hoses described as new, a battery a couple of years old and a radiator replaced in 2024. The seller reports no rust and says the paint is good.
The seller describes significant problems. The truck needs an oil change, and its oil pressure has been too high since the last change; the seller suggests debris in the pump as a possible cause. The post says the truck has recently threatened to stall, sometimes dies during the first few miles, idles weakly and runs at excessively high rpm in park. The seller also says four-wheel drive feels weak or strained.
Other disclosed issues include a wide turning radius, no working air conditioning, mouse damage in the air system, no radio, a missing rear-door handle and a hood-release cable that requires pliers. The seller says the defroster works, two patches of window tint remain in the rear corners, and the truck gets 11 mpg. The post also mentions an aftermarket alarm.
