Lewis County Commissioner Agnes Quinn Queen is asking local nonprofit businesses and organizations whose buildings were damaged in the July 21 flood to contact her promptly.

In a Nov. 4 Facebook post, Queen said the application period for Public Assistance for nonprofits closes this week. She asked affected organizations to message her as soon as possible.

The request is an opportunity to contact Queen about assistance; it does not confirm that a particular organization qualifies.
