Lewis County golfer Makenzie Egress finished fourth individually at the WVSSAC Girls Golf Invitational, shooting a 76 in the September 8 competition at The Links at Woodridge in Mineral Wells.
The official WVSSAC results place Egress behind medalist Ellie West of Wheeling Park, who shot a 6-under 66, Morgantown's Angela Yao at 74 and Bridgeport's Audrey Kerr at 75. Egress's score completed the event's individual top four.
George Washington and Morgantown shared the team championship after both finished at 257. The published results do not list a Lewis County team score or placement, so Egress's individual result should not be read as a reported team finish.
WV MetroNews independently reported the result and included Egress in its all-tournament score list. The competition has concluded; this article records the result rather than advertising an upcoming event.
