After the previously announced September 19 slowpitch softball fundraiser at Butchersville Complex in Weston, organizer Makayla Shaver reported a full day of play and a strong turnout for Lewis County Junior Wrestling.
Shaver said the tournament moved through 12 games over nearly 11 hours. She reported that PVS finished undefeated to win the tournament, while Clayton Shaver won the Home Run Derby with 8 of 10 balls. The derby had 41 entries, according to the organizer.
Lewis County Junior Wrestling thanked the teams, volunteers and the Lewis Baseball Softball Association, which provided the fields. Shaver said the funds raised will go back into the wrestling program. This recap is community-sourced; LC Portal did not independently verify the game results or fundraising total. The earlier event details are retained for context, but the September 19 fundraiser has ended; this article is no longer a registration or attendance notice.
