Lewis County wrestling has canceled its November 22 Hunters Brunch because flood repairs have been delayed and the program could not secure a place to host it.
In an October 30 announcement in the Lewis County Minutemen Wrestling group, Brooke Alton Fiber said this is the second fundraiser the wrestling programs have lost during their recovery from flooding. The lost fundraisers have added to the programs’ financial strain, she said.
The gun raffle drawing will still take place at the previously advertised time and will be streamed on Facebook Live. The announcement did not repeat the drawing’s schedule.
Fiber thanked supporters for standing behind the wrestlers and asked people to share the cancellation with those who planned to attend.
