The West Virginia Chamber Foundation is accepting applications for flood-recovery mini-grants from small businesses in Lewis County and three other flood-affected West Virginia counties.

The Foundation''s official 2026 application page says initial grants of $500 are available to businesses that demonstrate a need for financial assistance after the July 2026 flooding. Funds may support legal recovery costs such as utilities, payroll, operating expenses, rebuilding and reopening.

Businesses may apply by email to Elizabeth House at [email protected] or Andrea Oxley at [email protected]. Applications may also be mailed to the West Virginia Chamber Foundation, c/o Elizabeth House, 1624 Kanawha Boulevard East, Charleston, WV 25311. The Foundation lists (304) 342-1115 for questions.

The Foundation says applicants will be notified if their request is approved and of any award amount. Its application page does not state a closing date, so businesses should check the official 2026 application page before applying. The Lewis County Economic Development Authority shared the Foundation''s August 20 release; the Foundation''s page is the source for the county eligibility and application details.
