Agnes Quinn Queen encouraged people interested in helping Lewis County recover from flooding to join Lewis County RISE in an October 28 Facebook announcement.
The group brings together organizations and individuals to support residents throughout the recovery process. Its flyer describes a goal of coordinating ongoing, long-term disaster relief so Lewis County residents can get help at each step of recovery.
People interested in the group’s outreach list can call or text 304-886-5782, according to the flyer. It also directs residents who still need help with their homes to a form, but a usable form link was not supplied.
Queen’s announcement invited residents to an October 28 meeting at noon at the Lewis County Courthouse. The flyer listed the second-floor meeting room and a noon–1:30 p.m. schedule. That meeting has passed; the announcement did not provide another meeting date.
