Children 17 and under can search Lewis County Park for colorful, hand-painted rocks redeemable for Extreme Adventures prizes, according to a park announcement. The scavenger hunt offers mini golf and high ropes rewards, with two special rocks carrying 2027 mini golf season passes.

Lewis County Park posted the notice in Lewis County, WV Announcements. It did not give starting or ending dates, or hours for claiming prizes. The newsroom saw the post October 2, 2026, at 2:13:13 p.m. EDT; its original posting time was not displayed.

What the rocks can win

The park says it has hidden Extreme Adventures Rocks throughout the park. Children who find one should bring it to Extreme Adventures to learn which prize it carries.

Some rocks are worth a free round of Extreme Adventures Mini Golf; others provide a free trip through the High Ropes Course. The Purple Legendary Rock and the Gold Jackpot Rock each carry a free 2027 Mini Golf Season Pass.

According to the announcement, rocks will be hidden again throughout the season. The park did not say which rocks or prizes were still available.

How to redeem a prize

Each child may claim one rock and prize per week. The child who found the rock must be present when it is redeemed, and the rock must be turned in so staff can hide it again.

Mini golf and high ropes prizes must be used during the 2026 season. High ropes prizes remain subject to the course’s normal participation and safety requirements; the announcement did not detail those requirements.

Children who have already claimed a rock that week are asked to leave any additional rocks they spot for another participant.

Where to search

The park says rocks will never be hidden inside fenced areas, maintenance or equipment areas, restricted areas, or anywhere unsafe. Participants will not need to dig, move equipment or damage landscaping to find one.

The announcement encourages children to look carefully while exploring the park and follow those search limits.

The rules and prize descriptions appear in Lewis County Park’s announcement.
