The Lewis County Family Resource Network is one of four organizations sharing $100,000 in charitable awards from Antero Resources' annual Fuel the Burn dodgeball tournament.
Antero distributed the money Tuesday to the county network, the D.A.R.E. program, Bridgeport Challenger League and Lighthouse Child Advocacy Center. Neither the company nor WDTV's report stated how the $100,000 was divided, so no individual award amount for the Lewis County organization has been announced.
The support arrives as the Family Resource Network moves beyond immediate flood relief and into a longer recovery period. Executive director Deanna Palmer told WDTV that the network continues to connect families with help when homes need to be gutted or rebuilt and continues providing supplies to people affected by the July flooding.
Palmer said the funding also supports more than 50 programs and projects that serve Lewis County families and children. Residents seeking food, recovery coordination or other family resources can contact the network through its official website.
The 2026 tournament was the eighth Fuel the Burn event. Antero Foundation representatives said this year's proceeds pushed cumulative fundraising past $1 million. The official event site lists Lewis County FRN among its selected charities.
Antero employees and contract partners participate in the fundraiser, while an employee committee helps identify community organizations for support. Palmer also credited company workers with assisting Lewis County soon after the flood, adding practical help to the financial contribution.
