A community-maintained recovery list dated Sept. 1 reported that 68 of 133 Lewis County businesses affected by the July 21 flood had fully reopened, while 65 remained closed or were operating with changes. The list was posted by Agnes Quinn Queen at 8:50 p.m. Sept. 1.

The update also said three businesses among those not fully operating had reported permanent closure. It identifies some businesses with limited or altered service, including KFC Weston, listed as drive-thru only, and Walmart Supercenter, where hot, cold and frozen food was not available while rebuilding continued.

The list includes projected reopening estimates for some businesses, but those timelines were not presented as guarantees. Queen asked readers to report missed businesses or status changes and said the list would be updated as businesses return to normal operations. Read the full recovery list from Agnes Quinn Queen.
