Lewis County is remembering John Cecil Morris of Weston, who died Tuesday, August 25, at age 58.
Morris was born in Weston and graduated from Lewis County High School with the class of 1986. He competed in wrestling, baseball and basketball during his school years, and continued to follow those sports later in life. He was also a NASCAR fan.
His working career was in the oil field. The family notice describes a large circle of children, grandchildren, siblings and other relatives who survive him, as well as family members who died before him.
Family and friends gathered Saturday morning at Hardman Family Funeral Home in Weston. The funeral was held at noon, with interment afterward at Old Masonic Cemetery in Weston.
The family has invited friends to leave condolences and share memories through the funeral home's published notice.
