The Jane Lew Lions Club is asking residents to wear pink every Friday in October in solidarity with everyone affected by breast cancer. Its “Pink Fridays” message offers a simple way to take part in the club’s awareness effort throughout the month.

The accompanying graphic, dated October 1, 2026, identifies October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month and lists five participation dates: October 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30. “Wear Pink. Stand Together,” the graphic reads.

The club’s Facebook notice asks people to take part by wearing pink. It does not announce a gathering. The newsroom saw the notice October 2, 2026, at 5:27 a.m. Eastern; its original posting time was not displayed.
