About 300 people attended the Jane Lew Lions Club’s 2026 Fall Pit Beef Dinner at the Jane Lew Fire Department, the club estimated in an Oct. 11 Facebook announcement.
The club said every seat was filled during the lunch rush and guests praised the food. It thanked everyone who supported the dinner and said every penny raised would go back to the community and other places with needs.
The Lions also thanked the Jane Lew Fire Department for hosting. According to the club, its usual location is being used by the Lewis County Senior Citizens because their building was damaged in the flood.
Planning is underway for another pit beef dinner this coming spring. The club did not announce a date.
