Members of the Jane Lew Fire Department’s duty crew completed a 110-flight stair climb on September 11 in remembrance of firefighters who died in the 2001 attacks.

The department says the crew performed the climb as its required one-hour workout, with encouragement from students at Jane Lew Elementary School. Its post identifies the participating crew members as Lt. Ryan Carson, FF/EMT Tyler Smith and firefighter Treyton Stout.

The department’s public post and accompanying video document the local observance. LC Portal has linked the original reel but has not republished the video.
