New or gently used toys are being collected through Saturday, Nov. 28, to help local families this Christmas season, according to a toy-drive announcement Kathy Ellis shared on Nov. 5.
The flyer identifies the collection as an HMIA effort and lists Mt Hebron UM Church, 3444 Sycamore Lick Road, Jane Lew, as the donation drop-off site. Donors are asked to leave toys on the church’s canopy porch on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
The flyer also advertises a second toy drive for Saturday, Dec. 5, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. It identifies the church as the donation drop-off site but does not separately identify a venue for the December event.
Ellis said donations were still being accepted in her Nov. 5 Facebook post.
