Hacker’s Creek Pioneer Descendants members can take a free virtual tour of the Clarksburg History Museum from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, 2026, via Zoom, according to an announcement Andrea Moneypenny Clem posted in Lewis County Events.
The tour will feature the Jackson Family Collection, Civil War exhibits and the Harrison County Wall of Fame. All members will receive an email invitation.
The online tour is exclusively for the HCPD member community. The announcement notes that visiting the museum in person is always free.
HCPD welcomes members interested in preserving Central West Virginia’s history, artifacts and family stories; pioneer ancestry is not required. Membership benefits include access to special historical collections, member discounts and members-only events. Memberships and donations support the organization’s preservation work.
The organization’s membership page also lists the Hacker’s Creek Journal, the Up the Creek newsletter, access to members-only website materials and invitations to monthly HCPD chats on Zoom. Those benefits give members ways to participate between individual programs.
HCPD operates its genealogy and history library at 45 Abbott’s Run Road in Horner. The Nov. 7 program is online, with members joining through the emailed invitation.
Residents can find membership information at hackerscreek.org/join. The flyer also lists 304-269-7091.
