Emma Lea Keener, a Lewis County High School graduate who lived in Fairmont, died Sept. 24, 2026, at age 68, according to her official obituary from Davis Funeral Home. WDTV 5 News also reported her death and noted her Lewis County school connection.
The funeral home’s notice says Keener was born in Clay County and died at Fairmont Health and Rehab. It describes her as a caring, vibrant person who loved animals, especially cats and dogs. The notice says her wishes for cremation will be honored.
The funeral home’s online notice lists no public service date or time. It accepts donations to Keener’s CareFund in lieu of flowers and offers a place for condolences and memorial tributes.
