A slowpitch softball tournament at Butchersville Complex will raise money for the Lewis Baseball & Softball Association on Saturday, October 17. The first game starts at 8 a.m. at 2660 Old Mill Road in Weston, according to a flyer Jacob Shaver shared in the complex’s public Facebook group.
Teams must enter before 9 p.m. Monday, October 12. Shaver said five spots were left when he posted the announcement; teams should check whether spaces are still available.
Registration and playing rules
The double-elimination tournament allows 10 to 12 players per roster. Ten players take the field, including at least two female players in every game. Brackets will be drawn the day before the tournament.
Teams must pay their registration fee before their first game. The entry price was unclear on the flyer, so teams should confirm the fee and full rules when registering. Home run bands are $20 each.
All proceeds go to the Lewis Baseball & Softball Association. For questions, the flyer lists 304-641-7115. Shaver also invited questions through his post.
