The Buckhannon Band of Brothers is selling $15 West Virginia scenic calendars and aims to raise $70,000 to $80,000 through this year’s fundraiser, according to a September 16 report by My Buckhannon.
The report says the fundraiser will support people affected by the July flooding and the group’s other charitable work, including efforts that help children and families. The calendar features West Virginia landscape photography by Band of Brothers member Al Tucker.
Calendars can be purchased from Band of Brothers members or through the My Buckhannon store. The report also says a chicken dinner fundraiser is planned for October 24, but it does not publish a time or venue. Readers should use the full My Buckhannon report for current ordering and contact details.
This update adds accountable newsroom reporting to an earlier public notice from Kristie Tenney. The fundraiser’s beneficiary and allocation details remain attributed to the Band of Brothers and its representatives; LC Portal has not independently audited proceeds or distribution.
